About Me

Hi, I'm Tony Harget

I am a Specialist SEND & Autism Practice Consultant with over 30 years of experience supporting autistic children, young people and adults, alongside those who live, work and learn with them.

My career has included teaching, senior leadership in specialist education and consultancy, supporting individuals aged 3–25 with a wide range of complex needs. Alongside my work in specialist education, I have worked as a Consultant for the National Autistic Society and currently work as a Consultant and Trainer with Barnardo’s, providing practical advice, guidance and training to professionals, families and organisations.

Throughout my career, one message has remained constant: the best outcomes are achieved when we take the time to understand the individual rather than simply managing behaviour. Understanding, supported by practical training and knowledge, is key to creating
positive outcomes.

That belief is why I founded Listen2Me Training & Consultancy.

The name Listen2Me isn't about me as a trainer. It reflects something I have seen throughout my career—that many autistic children, young people and adults are not always fully heard or understood. Some communicate differently, some have limited spoken language, and others struggle to express what they need. Yet every individual has a voice, and every individual deserves to be understood.

My training focuses on practical strategies that professionals can confidently use in real-life situations. Whether I'm working with schools, early years providers, businesses, charities or families, my aim is always the same: to build understanding, strengthen confidence and create environments where autistic and neurodivergent people can thrive. I believe that positive outcomes begin with understanding, and understanding begins with listening.
